As usual, I’ll be taking part in the annual Lambeth Open here in my home borough of South London this weekend 4th and 5th October, 10am to 6pm both days. This year’s event features 20 venues across Lambeth, from Oval to Streatham and Clapham to Herne Hill (where you’ll find me!) with 34 artists and makers showing their work. Expect painting, mixed media, printmaking and ceramics, so there will be plenty to explore.
I’ll be exhibiting at 17 Regent Road, SE24 0EL, alongside fellow artists Kate and Gabrielle. It promises to be a wonderful weekend of art, creativity and community. I hope you can join us.
KATE BOWE works mainly within the medium of printmaking. Observing textures and the boundaries between objects she produces series of works that experiment with the assemblage of mixed media images in a planar form. Kate studied at Sir John Cass School of Art London Metropolitan University.
GABRIELLE BRADSHAW trained at Camberwell School of Art leaving with a First Class Honours degree in Fine Art Sculpture. She continued her studies at the Rural Development Centre in Salisbury completing several courses in Blacksmithing, and worked for two years as a welder in the metalshop of the National Theatre. Gabrielle has exhibited her drawings, paintings and sculpures in galleries across the UK and in Berlin and Paris.
