The Portraits

This growing collection of portraits, painted by artist Timothy Sutton, celebrates the old Streatham Hill Theatre and the ladies who are helping to pay for its survival. To see all the portraits click here.

History of the Theatre

The Streatham Hill Theatre first opened its doors to the public on the 24th October 1929 and fast became one of the major venues for touring West End productions. However, with the rapid growth of TV and dwindling audiences, the theatre was forced to close in 1962 and converted into a Bingo Hall. For a brief history of the Theatre click here.
